Abuy a set of 4 Nokian Hakka-1 snows with studs? Studded tires make a big difference.

You might also start looking around for a nice '94-95 945 turbo wagon. The '94 had dual airbags, the '95 could even be had with a moonroof. '93-'95 have the desirable B230ft with the reinforced block and oil-cooled pistons.

I'd avoid a 960 because of the horrid reputation of that 6 cylinder motor.
