Mansey,

The e-mail in my box stated " You're kidding, right?" The emphasis of your first post seemed to be that Ford acquired Volvo to obtain its expertise in component engineering. That is historical fact and it is that I was responding to.

The "roots" you were actually referring to imply that, at least with Volvo, Ford really does have a better idea.
