I just bought a 95 850 without the turbo and with the five speed manual transmission. The car only has 62,000 miles on it, and appears to be in excellent condition. It shifts very smoothly and seems to run generally fine. However, there is one exception: when I release the clutch pedal shifting both into first from a stop and out of second (at low speeds), I can hear a scraping noise that sounds similar to what water sounds like hitting the wheel well when a car goes through a puddle or when it's raining. What concerns me is that the 95 sable wagon that we also have made the same noise just before it went through a transmission rebuild. I don't know why this car would have such problems so early on. The only other thing is that it had been hit a year ago on the drivers side door and fender. It was driveable in this condition.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
