(I hope I'm not too late here) You've successfully got the axle nut off. Chances are good the axle is frozen into the hub. My sledgehammer did a good job of mushrooming the end of the axle. Using an old axle nut to pound on did a good job rolling the threads. If you are having difficulty removing the axle from the hub, use a 36mm socket and 4" extension over a loosened axle nut screwed onto a sufficient number of threads. Then pound on the extension. Of course if the axle came out easily, lucky you.
