I know NOTHING of Halford's. But I can say I have NEVER used overpriced Volvo coolant in ANY of my Volvos. I have always used USA brand Prestone. Never had one cooling system problem. Ever.

I think if: that coolant is rated for modern cars (with many metals and plastics), you flushed the system extremely well (get all the old stuff out), and you don't leave the new stuff in too long, you'll be fine.

I would contact Halford's.....ask THEM.
