E-Brake pad change a 'do it yourselfer'???? V70-XC70

For the e-brake, you mean shoes, don't you? The pads and rotors are part of the hydraulic brake system (foot-operated). The mechanically-activated hand brake involves replacing the shoes inside the rear compound rotor-and-drum system. While you're back there, you might as well replace the pads....if not the drum/rotor combination, too.
