I found no water in mine when I repaced it. However, I tried to power it up by placing 12v accross the leads and it sounded like...well really bad. Obviously bearings were gone. Replace the valve near the turbo too; it would seem to be cause of these problems. It's darn near impnossible to get to with a wrench, but can be done.
