Premium vs. regular gas 850 1996

The engine uses knock sensors to detect pining (long before
you would hear it). The timing and boost can then be adjusted
to avoid pinging. Of course this means slight power loss.

Still, if it is a hot summer day and you are towing a boat up
a 10% grade then it might still ping since timing and boost can
only be adjusted so far.
