Hood latch failure! 850 1993

Wrong latch. He's talking about the one in the cabin.

First, check to make sure it is ENTIRELY disconnected. If it is, find where it is disconnected. Grab the end of it with a vice grip as well as possible. That will allow you to open it.

I have a feeling it is not entirely disconnected, and just requires adjustment. If so, have someone pull the latch release from inside the cabin while you push down on the hood where the latches are.
