Just how does your friend figure that an additive is going to burn out a fuel filter? Obviously, that is flat impossible.

If you have a really gunked up gas tank and gas line, and an already pretty filled filter, it would be possible for enough stuff to be released that it would complete the filling of the filter, but certainly that is normal and not "burning" anything.

BG-44K is excellent. AMSOIL PI will do the same job for considerably less expense. Redline SI is similar, and Techron is very acceptable.
