Light Message V70-XC70 2001

I never asociated the bulb failures with the cold weather like the other respondee mentioned but that makes sense. I have had my 01 V70 for 2.5 years and only had to replace a headlight or two yet the other day it went down to 4 degress F, here in AL (a truely rare occurance) and I got 3 bulb failure messages in one day. One message happenned on the way home from the parts store getting a bulb for another message. One was a headlight, and the other two were in the rear (a brake light and a rear light that is always on). Anyway if you mess with the ones in the back be carefull - they a are a pain to get to and to deal with the little holders that come out with the bulb. Also make note off the way it comes out before putting it back in. in my case the metal rim that the bulb fits into had a piece break off. Now the bulb works but I get error messages about the bulb "position" failure. The car I guess knows the socket is screwed up now. Fun, fun. Good luck, Tom
