I took a few pictures the day of the "event". I've been too busy to go after the city just yet. I have tried using a wheel repair place recommended to me by my Volvo mechanic. They took the wheel and came back today with a "its not safe enough to repair - rim is too damaged" and "we could not locate another used rim for you'. So I tried the locale Volvo junk yard and the one in Tucson. These rims are not that popular so they didn't have one in stock. I did find a site on the web (www.aaarims.com) with them in stock at $218 + $13.50 shipping. I just don't know them. I'm looking at all my options at this point but need to do something soon because my donut spare tire does not have many more miles left on it. I'm looking at getting a new steel rim and putting the old tire on it as the spare (if the tire is OK). That should tided me over unitl I get the new rim and tire.
So, nobody has answed the question yet, where is a good place to buy a used rim from?
