Sam,

See my post recently regarding the PNP switch (you should get it replaced). Your transmission is not the problem, and cold shifting problem will definitely go away after your PNP switch is replaced...all the details are below.

Here is some info on cost:

In any case the PNP switch costs around $130 from a dealer, you can get the part online for around $110, not much of a savings after shipping, unless shipping is free. The labor cost for the PNP switch was $105, so total cost was about $235.
