TURBO DOES NOT INVOLVES MORE GAS NECESSARILY!!! 850 1994

IT IS NOT OBVIOUS!!!!!!

The amount of gas, and so power, that the car demands is that quantity necessary to overcome the ressistances: aerodinamic and floor-friction (and vertical weight component in a ramp) and mass inertia inj accelerations. The injection system does not inject more fuel than the necessary (the demanded).

That amount of power is the same in both models (assuming both engines have the same efficiency).

Different question is that a turbo model is usually not driven in the same way by the driver. So a sportier driving causes obviously more consumption.

Why a 150hp turbodiesel has less consumption than a 150hp petrol between similar engines? Because of the great difference of efficiency (diesel: 0,35 petrol: 0,20).
