My first word of advice would be to trash the castrol. I go to school in upstate NY and had castrol sythethic in my 95 850 (150k) for 1500 miles and my oil light would come on for 15 seconds when starting the car. The castrol sythetic isn't a true synthetic, Amsoil or Mobil 1 sued them over this a few years back and ended up losing, so legally they can keep the word synthetic in it. I made a quick switch to Mobil 1 synthethic and it fixed that. After researching that crap online I was stunned to find all the additives in the oil and burn ratios.
