sunroof noise S80 2001

I was very interested in your message. My 2000 S80 T6 sunroof is making a total racket over even what I would consider small bumps (see earlier response in this thread). Is this thicker glass panel a specific fix for the S80?
I'm wondering if the service manager is going to look at me like I'm crazy if I suggest this fix to him. Is there a technical service bulletin on this problem.
