fewer 850 problems after '94? 850

My '94 was very reliable for the 5 years I owned it. I consider it reliable because it never left me stranded and did not suffer any of the items you mention. However, lots of little things like swaybar endlinks, power seat recline, seat heater, antenna, and upper engine mount had to be replaced. These items and the typical maintenance items would make it an expensive car to own if I didn't do much of the work myself. If you do buy one, find a decent indie mechanic- the labor rate will be cheaper than a dealer.
