Dennis - I have had to replace my front bumper and cover after we hit the BIG RACCOON.
Taking the bumper off was quite easy - putting it back on is the challenge.
The hardest part was lining up all the rivet holes where the bumper and the wheel wells come together.
What I did eventually was to put snug-fitting nails in each hole. I had all the holes lined up before I inserted the first rivet. I installed the poorest fitting rivet first, the others were easier.
All three of our 8s were missing the fastners in the wheel well. If you do not have the fastner, I used the bottom of a clear plastic Dunkin Donuts iced coffee glass. The plastic is tough and the bottom is quite rugged. I used an awl to make a hole that was smaller than the post that the fastner goes on., and pushed the cglass bottom on.
I do not know what color your car is, but if it is dark, it looks pretty good if you paint the small grilles and the bars of the louvre silver. The mimic the grille and headlights.
