Hesitation on acceleration 850 1993

Another thought: Have you had any troubles with the automatic
transmission? The automatic transmission will lock itself in third
gear (limp home mode) when it detects a problem. This results in
very slow acceleration. The transmission stores error codes and
you can also have them read. On later years, the orange up arrow
on the dash flashes if there is a transmission problem (I'm not
sure if a 93 does this, or not).
