Hesitation on acceleration 850 1993

I was having the same type of problem with my acceleration. I have a 1993 850 w/127,000. The orange arrow did not come on & now the car has gotten worse to the point where it will not keep running. It starts right up but very quickly begins to run rough & when the accelerator is applied, it starts to cough & die. Is this anything like you experienced with your mass air flow sensor? I was wondering if the exhaust was plugged. Thanks for any help
