Piece of Crap ABS Control Unit 850 1996

A little more info on the unique '96 ABS problem: There is a TSB out on the bad wiring crimp (in the fuse box, I believe). Symptoms may include intermittent ABS light on-off.

Your problem may not be solved by this. YMMV as usual...
