Rick,

I have a 1995 854T. I had my shocks/struts replaced all around with Bilstein HD (Heavy Duty not Touring). At the same time I had the strut mounts replaced. Most likely your sway bar links will also need replacing around this time. I had over 80K on my car last winter when I had this done. I like the Bilstein's they are firmer than stock, but seem to absorb bumps better. I can provide more details if you'd like. I have done nothing with the springs.
