Interested in buying an S40, What should I avoid and be aware of? S40-V40

The first model year and a half (00-mid01) had some glitches that have since been addressed:

-Rear brakes wore out quickly - new pads have been in use since mid01. If the pads on an older S40 have been replaced since that time they should have the new pads.

-Bulbs burning out frequently - dealer mod corrected this

-Trip computer would loose data - software upgraded on the effected years.

Cars from mid01+ seem to be unaffected by these issues. My 02 S40 has been problem free since the day I got it.
