Some of the folks here with the low-profile tires (they DO look good) use them infrequently - and only in the summer. The 330cxi guy near me not only has 18's and 16's, but a boffo set of 15's for the winter. But driving on New England's roads right after the snow and frost are gone is courting trouble - frost heaves become potholes in no time. Best to wait till the road crews get out to fill the holes.
