Honda probably received 1,000x (at least) their normal ad exposure from this, and 99% has been for free. So it's probably still be a bargain at the price. We don't even get the Euro-Accord wagon here in the US (we get the sedan version badged as the "Acura TSX") and I even found the ad linked on the LAWNMOWER board!
As for the claim that it was a single continuous take, I'd carefully observe for a tongue-in-a-cheek on the face of the ad agency spokesman or at least for a smirk and a stifled laugh!
