Ah, that stuff about 79,000 miles and it's "not even broken in yet..." I dunno, buddy. I don't think that old Volvo yardstick applies to these cars. We're at 38k with our '99 V70AWD and so much stuff has broken or failed, we're thinking it'll be about done for at 79k. NO intention of keeping the bugger beyond 100k.
We have front-end vibration/rumbling right now, sounds the same as yours, and I'm sure it's warped front rotors. The car sort of whonk-whonk-whonks as it slows, especially when braking from highway speeds.
It's in the shop right now getting looked at -- while I also get the A/C evaporator replaced, piston seals fixed, an O2 sensor replaced...
... and, yeas, our motor mount broke as well, like yours -- only ours broke at 26k.
It's like the car's operating parts are made of heavy-gauge cardboard.
