ABS/STC module S80

OK, I havent opened an S80 ABS control unit BUT I have opened 2 X70 control units and they were exactly as I said before, sealed with a clear, rubber type gel coating. The S80 units look the same to me on the outside.
At my dealership, they're now ALL to be returned and there is a core charge or else someone pays (service department in my case).

I could also check but the price is probably less than $800. They're $416 for X70s new.
