AC Cut Out very Often even at 80s 850 1995

Gerald,

Latest update. I just drove the car to pick up my wife. AC cut out as usual. Then, in the middle of driving, a burning smell coming out of the vents and getting strong. My wife turned off the AC and the smell went away slowly. By the time we got home, I opened the hood and took a smell. The burning smell was around the passenger side strut tower and the coolant tank.

Could it be a burning AC harness ???
