S70 Badging Removal S70 1999

Michael, I am going on:
1. Experience on having done this to replace a badge on my wife's '99 Toyota.
2. Posts by Volvowners who have done this on 850s (search Volvospeed)so I can't imagine Volvo going back to the old way after using stick-ons in earlier 850s.

I haven't seen a riveted badge for a long, long time (we are showing our age?)If you want to be absolutely, 100%, unmistakably positive, check with parts dept. at your local dealer on whether the replacement badge is a stick on job or has lugs. Or drop into a wreckers and ask if you can take a badge off (cheap insurance for you).

Hair dryer is a good idea, or leave the car in the sun for a while first.
