Check out your flame trap FIRST.

If it is your flame trap, then you have been very, very lucky that you have not already blown out your rear main seal.

If you replace the oil cap seal before you check your flame trap, and your flame trap is clogged, then you are making a bad situation worse.

So, check your flame trap NOW.
