If it's a horizontal unit, use strips of self-adhesive velcro on top of the dash above the center console for a quick, semi-permanent mount. You can even get it in matching colors. Reception should be decent there and you can easily grab it for other uses or to stash out of sight. The website has some nice options as Frank suggested.
