Antenna ? S70 1998

I got it from Garmins site directly last summer because it helps in my car. Maybe mine is for eMaps only?
Try yours w/o any additional antenna because maybe you won't need it. Mine does OK for the most part w/o it but there are times in my car when I'll lose satelite reception and it gets annoying. The remote antenna cures that problem.
Dash location is also something that you'll have to play with because if it's too close to you, you'll often loose reception (at least mine will).

In the rented Jeep with my original store bought universal mount, I had no reception problems at all.
