Because....and because.... S80 1999

I probably haven't had nearly as much trouble as the average S80 owner.

(That's a statistical truism. Based on THOUSANDS of survey results, the S80 is on Consumer Reports' "Used Cars to Avoid" list. My FWD '98 T5 may have been bad - at least compared to my wife's Honda - but it's not bad enough to have made it onto the CR "avoid" list.)

Anyway, I have TWO Volvo dealers within an easy 20 minute drive, plus an indy Volvo-only shop, plus an indy Volvo-Saab shop, plus a Porsche racing shop that I use for tires, wheel balancing and suspension work.

This STILL gets very old very fast!

I just LOVE posters who argue that Volvos are reliable because they've owned the car for 3 months and driven 3,000 miles and have only had one problem.

Please write up your comments after you've driven it 100,000 miles.
