Tranny S80 2000

got the same problem. i've had the urgent service message and 1/2 lockout (wouldn't go out of 3, stopped, restarted and everything was back to normal). but the shudder in 2/3 shift is only under med to hard accel. under normal/mild accel you don't notice anything. how long can i go on like this? will i do serious damage to the point where i'll have to go to a rebuilt tranny instead of just a solenoid replacement (is this really an option?)?
