Compared to my two Saabs it's really been no worse. Compared to my wife's Honda, it's been silly.
I'm most impressed that Volvo engineered things so that the parts that have failed in my car seem to fail in most of the cars, probably every one if enough time and miles accumulate.
The cars aren't completely evil. They're a lot of fun to drive if you get a turbo, comfortable and safe too. Even if they are reliable and easy to fix I probably would have been driven to tears by a Volvo 240 because of the performance envelope.
Do borrow Consumer Reports from the library or pick up their Used Car Special that's on the newsstands right now.
