this site is a nightmare for volvo owners, it partly why I just traded
in my 97 "mint" 850 sportwagon w/ 70k.

as I use to read the post, I said that wont happen to my well cared for
car but sure enough like clock work the abs module failed at 70k
a $600 repair, my timing belt was due $200 repair, my control arm
bushing & ball joints where shot, $300 reapair and it needed
shocks and struts $500.

I decided not to wait for the tranny to go even though I did every
recomended maintance the maunal and my indy suggested

I traded it in on saab 9-5, I still own my 93 850 because I own out right
and have had good luck with it.
