abs brake light 850 1997

Hi, I have a 850 1994 and having the same problem...ABS light comes on and now it's doing it regularly (everyday). Along with that now, I had my gear shift depressor changed because it wouldn't work. Now occasionally, the 2nd gear warning light blinks on. I don't know anything about cars. Had this one for 6 years. It's been a problem. I can't find a decent repair place in Oakland, Berkeley area.
