Tranny Update! S80 1999

I just got my 99 S80 T6 back from a local performance transmission shop. It required a rebuild after stripping a spline shaft for the overdrive unit. Cost me $2k to get fixed. Dealer quoted me $3700 for a new transmission. Although I have just sunk 2k in it, I'm trading it for a Honda and never going back to a Volvo. I suggest you consider the same before you're as sorry as I am in buying a Volvo. By the way, the trans guy said that the motor has too much HP for the trans. I was never really impressed with the performance either.
