Scraping Feeling Under Front Driver's Side 850 1994

When I turn the wheel, I can feel actual scraping under the floorboards, on the driver's side. It is intermittant. Sometimes it does it, sometimes not. Nothing looks amiss when looking underneath. Of course, when I took it to the mechanic, it wasn't doing it, and he could find nothing wrong.
Any suggestions?
