I have a 1995 850 and it is OBD-II compliant. Check the emissions label under the hood to verify. The OBD-II port is located on the center console under the coin holder (it is even labeled "OBD-II). I recently purchased a code reader and have been very pleased with the results. It is sure alot easier than reading the blinking lights under the hood.
