the existance of T5 manual transmitions 850

850s in Europe, Canada ... also rumors are a few came across as dealer swaps in US-Canada "border" areas, the EPA considers the "M" and "A" versions "essentially" the same, so the EPA-chief-yet-to-be-confirmed wouldn't come knocking at your door.

But frankly, the '98 SVC 70 turbos which were available manual trannies have gotten so cheap, why even bother?

I have 125,000 miles on my '98 T5 5-speed, and the transmission has been fine.
