I don't think Audi is any better and may be worse. That holds for all the eurocars, Volvo is about as good as it gets. Eurocars IN GENERAL are black holes for money. If you want minimal operating costs in all seriousness buy a Toyota or a Honda.

Grassroots Motorsports track tested a new Honda Odyssey minivan (on "upgraded" wheels/tires) against a '64 Porsche 356C, and got the minivan to go aroung a track faster than the Porsche.
