I've had a few anxious moments about my 95 850T after reading some of the posts on this board. I'm a female and won't be doing any of the mechanical maintenance myself, though I keep the interior and exterior well maintained. I bought the car as a replacement for my beloved 91 940T which was rear-ended by an SUV last month. Although the damage "looked" repairable, the estimate was $6200 which totaled the car.
This car has only 38K miles on it and appears to have been well maintained (same Berkeley dealer stamp in every entry of maintenance manual). It has the winter pack, alarm, premium sound stereo, CD changer, keyless remote, all the bells and whistles, which of course means that much more to go wrong. I hope that's not the case as I'd like to keep this car a very long time (I had the '91 over 8 years).
