I installed the 3rd seat in my 2000 V70 just about a month ago.
Don't let the Swedish-English instructions intimidate you. The install goes pretty easy. I was amazed how well the engineering is in the whole kit. Just about all the screw holes are pre-drilled. All the bolt holes are there. Just take your time and everything should go in just right.
If you're buying the seat from RPR off of ebay, that's a really good price. I bought mine from them, they were pretty quick with the shipping. Keep in mind you're going to have to make a couple additional trips to your local dealership parts counter for some extra parts, but overall you still save a bundle over what the full kit from the dealership would cost.
RPR should give you the 2 or 3 necessary part numbers you'll have to pick up. Those parts shouldn't cost you more than $10. One part is the rear floor hatch, it's a carpeted piece of plywood that replaces the existing floor hatch. I think that should be less than $5. The other two parts are a couple screws and washers I think. Funny, they recommend buying those, but I couldn't find where they belong. Never used them.
I'll post some more install tips as they occur to me.
