seriously, these problems are the kind that could be traced to something as simple as a vaccuum leak. I think Bay 13 at volvospeed has a bit on replacing some of the plastic elbows which are likely locations for a leak.
But a vac. leak will mess with the air-fuel mix, which can then burn out an O2 sensor, and may show up as a throttle body sensor fault instead. With al lthe nifty computers the car can mask the high or rough idle symptoms you might ordinarily see with something htat simple.
