1998 V70 - at what TIME should you sell V70-XC70

now hang on...you have a car of unspecified age and milage and your issues were...

ABS module at 130,000 miles - well not so bad really...130k..a lot of cars would be dead...

failed ignition switch - at what miles and is it a long miles car or all short journeys..

evaporator - ok we all know volvo dropped a clanger on those..but hardleyu a car stopper...

a brake caliper seized - poor maintenance, should be avoidable...
thermostat failed - poor maintrenance, should be avoidable...
heater core started leaking within the past year - again unspecified age...

THREE (3) flatbed tows,
2 for mechanical problems - presumably the ones above
1 for a close encounter with a chunk of semi-trailer tire - bet you were glad you were in the brick!

poor durability. Hmm well it seems to me like you had 2 car stopping experiences that were unavoidable, and some other stuff that was hardly critical or was ovoidable...in at least 130k....not too bad really...particularly if its not a long miles car..

now add to that the great residuals and the redicoulously low purchase price and it doesnt look so bad...as to the japanese product i agree they are reliable, but the spares prices are wicked and the residuals weak...and they have no soul...
