Thank you for all of your thoughtful replies. I have decided to keep the car, even though today the shift lock switch failed! Perhaps I expected too much of the vehicle, but it represents the most I ever spent on a car. I do enjoy it, all things considered. I have a few questions about discount parts and such, but I will start a new thread.
