In my experience, it could be low on refrigerant (I think)OR your temp sensor fans could be plugged. Based on the age of your car, I'd say the fans are likely. If you look right above your head, behind the grab-bars on the ceiling, there's a plastic cap with a hole in it. You can pry that off and using a flashlight look inside it. When you turn the climate system on, these fans should spin (both: one on each side). If not, take a gentle stream of air (canned air?) & blow in there. Or possibly something very delicate that you could swab in there, like a hobby-type paint brush maybe? Good luck.
