Heater Ineffective V70-XC70

On cold days I just keep the cold air intake closed (the middle pair or "recirc" button with the curved arrow on the climate control should show "yellow" to keep out the cold fresh air) and move the stove knob from "auto" to either the defrost (top) position or the position right under the "auto" position. I guess either my cabin temperature sensor is bad (again, I'm now on my FOURTH sensor) or automatic climate control's brain is scrambled. This is easier and cheaper. In milder weather I just keep it on "auto".
