Ignition switch hassles S70 1998

See volvospeeds Repair/maintenance section,after you have removed the switch you can see where the mechanical part engages with the electrical part and then rotate the electrical part with a flat blade screw driver. This should start the car if in fact the mechanicals are broke and not the electricals of the switch. Please post back as I have had a simaler problem and changed out the electical portion of the switch but still feel a problem with the mechanical side.
